The Little Wolverine's Dan A Preschool Program kids holding books up in the air

The Little Wolverine's Den is a preschool program for children that are 3-5 years old and potty trained. Our program typically begins in September and runs until the end of April or beginning of May. This is based off the Stafford Schools calendar being from August to May. Our preschool year may change if the county changes their school calendar. We meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with our AM group from 7:45AM - 11:45AM. We follow the Stafford Schools calendar and weather closings/delays.

The preschool students are taught by the high school students that have chosen to take this class, applied, and were accepted.  The high school students are in charge of making their own small group lesson plans as well as big group lessons when it is their turn. Small group lessons consist of Language arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Gross and Fine Motor Skills.  Big group consists of singing, dancing, story time, calendar, and games.

Mrs. Miller is the high school students' teacher and the director of the LWD. Our program is very unique and provides preschoolers with a smaller teacher to student ratio, 2 teachers (high school students) to every 2-5 preschoolers. We are very proud of the teacher-preschooler bonds that are formed here and the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth that we see in our preschoolers every year. In short, The Little Wolverine's Den is the World's Best Preschool in the World's Best High School!
